The matt black TiC coating transforms the piece from a functional watch to a sophisticated timepiece for your wrist. A process known as PVD (physical vapour deposition) is used to coat the case of the watch in multiple layers of titanium carbide (TiC). This multi-layer technique provides multiple benefits such as a deep black colouration, highly resistant layer thicknesses and increased hardness of the underlying stainless steel case.

The case not only looks impressive but also boasts a pressure resistance of up to 30 bars (300 m) and is fitted with a 2.5mm thick double anti-glare sapphire crystal and a solid screw-in crown with extra side protection. The piece is finished with a tone-in-tone textile strap. The jet-black strap is made of water-resistant material, lined with a wearer-friendly layer of comfortable and non-irritant rubber. Because the Sea-Timer Black is a watch dedicated to sport, the length of the band can be adjusted via the pin buckle, meaning that it can even be worn over a wetsuit or a jacket sleeve.
